Are you part of a grassroots organization targeting hunger or food justice issues in Detroit? Will a micro-grant help you to expand upon volunteer-powered community initiatives and catalyze high-impact projects? Will funding provide you with the opportunity to take your organization to the next level? If so, the Do it for Detroit is for you!

Three finalists will have the chance to share their stories in front of a voting audience on August 27, 2017 at the Hazon’s Michigan Jewish Food Festival at the Eastern Market. Bring as many supporters as you can gather to join the audience in order to raise your chances of winning the top prize. (Each of the three finalists will receive a grant.)

Do it For Detroit will work with the finalists to:

  • help develop your story and presentation to improve your chances of winning the top prize and
  • create a future volunteer opportunity for audience participants.

Grants are accessible to all organizations without discrimination. Applicants must be 18 years old.
